He’s a proud graduate of the public school system and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University. After graduating from college, Jermaine worked as a community organizer for LIUNA! (Laborers International Union of North America), working to protect the wages and jobs of working families. A few years later, Jermaine was elected to become the first President of color of the Metropolitan Baltimore Council AFL-CIO Unions. Over the years, Jermaine has registered hundreds of people to vote and testified at public hearings to bring resources to our communities. Jermaine is now running for Baltimore's 12th District City Council seat because he wants to be an even more effective public servant to our communities at a time when we need it the most.

As someone who has grown up and lives in the district, I understand the unique challenges that face our community. I am determined to tackle the issues head-on, such as improving public safety, strengthening our public education system, and addressing economic development in a way that benefits everyone.
